The municipality of Láz lies about 8 km south-west of Příbram, where the Litavka River emerges from the Brdy forests. The municipality runs a nursery school. Láz also has a football pitch with facilities and an outdoor swimming pool with volleyball courts.

A canal dating from the mid-19th century runs from the Lázská nádrž reservoir near Láz. It is a technical monument. It carries water to the ore works in Příbram.
